Afternoon everyone,
I managed to find a solution to my install problems with this module. I visited the wise ones over at PerlMonks and somebody was kind enough to explain how the tests that were failing during install were nothing too serious and told me how to get around the problem.
I can finally move on to the fun part of actually writing the script.
Here is the solution if anybody is curious:
Thanks,
James

Hi Ian,The reason I want to use that particular one is because the team I work with use a Google Docs spreadsheet for this report that the button generates. In the past it was all done "by hand" which is to say the repository developer ran a series of scripts, generated a CSV file and then copied it into the google spreadsheet. Then the team could all access it at once and work on it.TLDR: Unfortunately, one of the dependencies fails the tests during install
Full version:
Net::Google::DataAPI::Auth::OAuth2 won't install due to failed tests.The output mentions something about a "$hd" variable which I now think relates to a "hosted domain". I can't tell if it's a "me" problem or a problem with the module itself. Somebody else has had the exact same test failures, but no solution seems to exist:Anyway, I'll continue investigating solutions and alternatives. At the moment I'm trying to learn all about OAuth2 which is as interesting as... a totally uninteresting thing.Thanks for your help!James*** Options: http://mailman.ecs.soton.ac.uk/mailman/listinfo/eprints-techOn Wed, Aug 7, 2019 at 9:30 AM STUART Ian via Eprints-tech <eprints-tech@ecs.soton.ac.uk> wrote:

Any particular reason you use that package?
I've used Spreadsheet::ParseExcel & Spreadsheet::XLSX with success [in
another Perl/Moose application]
