Hi Ranju,
The ORCID Support plugin can be used without the Advance plugin. Its main role is to add a new ORCID metafield to the repository which can then be used as part of the creators and/or editors fields, and in user profiles.
The plugin also helps with validating ORCIDs to ensure they meet the correct format, and with displaying them (including adding the little green ORCID badges to citations).
More information is available at https://wiki.eprints.org/w/ORCID_Support#ORCID_Support. This page also contains details about the Advance plugin, but that's only useful if your
institution has ORCID membership and is entirely optional.
I hope this helps!
Many thanks,
Will

Dear list,
Has anyone integrated the ORCID Support Plugin (not the advance one just the basic one) with their EPrints publication repository? Is it useful/helpful without the Advanced Support Plugin? Would you be willing to share your experience ?
