Hi,

you should remove the --setup option to run a statistics update.  --setup is only needed for the initial calculation.

Hi,

Have you seen the documentation at http://eprints.github.io/irstats2/ particularly the processing section of http://eprints.github.io/irstats2/install.html   ? It looks like you need to set the overnight processing to run regularly.

You have historical data as it is drawn from e.g. the Access table of EPrints, but that is a one off task when IRStats2 was set up and anything since then would need the regular processing to be included.

We run the query for two different periods (Feb '21 & June '21) to show the difference like below:

 



And as for the crontab, here is the result:

 



 

What makes us confused is that IRStats2 get installed in May '21, and previous downloads history (back from 2019 when eprints get installed) is available but start counted 0 in March '21. Previously we assumed that the data will be collected starting in May '21, but turned out the history data was already counted & collected. So what happened with March '21 and afterward? Because our students and staff still able to download articles at repository in that periods of time. I'm sorry for the questions if it sounds too basic 😁🙏

If you have access to the SQL database, do you get any results if you run the query:

 

SELECT * FROM `irstats2_downloads` WHERE `datestamp` = 20210610;

 

This is checking to see if IRStats2 has processed the stats via a scheduled overnight process.

 

If you can run a “ crontab -l “ as your eprints user you should have an entry that looks something like:

 

0 7 * * * /opt/eprints3/archives/<REPO_SHORT_NAME>/bin/stats/process_stats <REPO_SHORT_NAME>

Hi Yuri, I can't be sure to answer your question. But when we tried to reload the process_stats, the value of most downloaded items and total downloads (activity overview) was changed, yet the graphic remained. In what details of cron do you suggest we should take a look?
