Re: [EP-tech] number of items displayed at department level

CAUTION: This e-mail originated outside the University of Southampton.

Hi Ranju,
The figures in the list at the top of the page represent how many items exist at that node, and all it's children nodes - and their children nodes.

The number of items shown in the listing area is the number of items directly attached to the node selected.

A [x directly attached items]

+-> B [y1 directly attached items]

      +-> C [z1]

      +-> D [z2]

+-> E [y2]

In the above structure, the figure shown for B would be z1 + z2 + y1.

The figure shown for A would be x + y1 + z1 + z2 + y2

It can get more confusing, as an item could be directly attached to both e.g.  C and D.

The totals shown take this into consideration  - so it doesn't double-count items at higher levels.

Hope that makes sense!?

Cheers,

John

Subject: [EP-tech] number of items displayed at department level

CAUTION: This e-mail originated outside the University of Southampton.

Hi List,

Would anyone know what decides the number of items displayed at department/faculty level page. For example, in our case it shows 15 items (out of 6463) at Faculty level and when we go further in (i.e. each department page) it shows all (see screenshot).

If we wanted to change that number, where would we do that?

If this question has been asked and answered you can point me to that thread!

Best regards,
Ranju
