Hi Sara @John: That is really interesting. My guess was that maybe the subject code was in the record twice, but the XML export of the record shows that it isn’t. http://ubir.bolton.ac.uk/view/divisions/ub=5Fgenresearch/ has it in the title twice, but in the node once. Is it possible this is due to The Bolton Review having two parents? It appears under General Research and under Bolton Student Publications. That shouldn’t cause a problem, but it might be worth investigating. Before you do that, it might be worth editing the General Research node and checking that there hasn’t been a copy/paste error in the name field. Could it be that there’s two English titles, or the title was entered with a newline and then entered again due to some interface shenanigans in the form? -- Adam From: <eprints-tech-bounces@ecs.soton.ac.uk> on behalf of John Salter <J.Salter@leeds.ac.uk> Hi Sarah, It looks like something peculiar is going on… From this item: http://ubir.bolton.ac.uk/1126/ The doubled 'General research' line is actually one link - with a line-break in the middle of it. Interestingly, it looks like the 'Off campus division' for this item is OK… (Adam, does that help?) From: eprints-tech-bounces@ecs.soton.ac.uk [mailto:eprints-tech-bounces@ecs.soton.ac.uk] On Behalf Of Taylor, Sarah Hi Adam, I can’t see that any IDs have changed – all I’ve done (or I should perhaps say all I thought I’d done…) was link some divisions to different parent divisions. Thanks. New ones added or IDs retired? -- Adam From: <eprints-tech-bounces@ecs.soton.ac.uk> on behalf of "Taylor, Sarah" <S.E.Taylor@bolton.ac.uk> Hi Adam, Thanks for getting back to me. The only way I can make any changes is by using the web-based interface so I’ve tried clicking on regenerate abstracts to no avail, so I fear it’s the second scenario you mention… Sarah From: eprints-tech-bounces@ecs.soton.ac.uk [mailto:eprints-tech-bounces@ecs.soton.ac.uk] On Behalf Of Adam Field There are a couple of possibilities, depending on the details: 1) You’ve changed the structure, but your abstract pages haven’t regenerated. I think this is an epadmin command, but you can test this by editing a record with this issue, making a change and then saving it. If it’s purely a render issue, it’ll go away. You can then batch regenerate all of your abstracts (I think it’s an epadmin command). 2) You’ve changed the structure, and IDs have changed, but your items still have the old IDs set in their fields. This is a little trickier to handle as you’ll have to update all of your records. Either do this by hand (depending on the number of records with issues) or use a script to walk over the repository and update the values. If you can’t see the problem in admin, but can on the public view of the item, it’s more likely to be (1). -- Adam From: <eprints-tech-bounces@ecs.soton.ac.uk> on behalf of "Taylor, Sarah" <S.E.Taylor@bolton.ac.uk> Hi all, Sorry, yet another slightly desperate plea for help from the University of Bolton. I’ve recently restructured parts of our repository to reflect an institutional restructure but in doing so, I’ve managed to double/duplicate some divisions. I’ve managed to get it so that our departmental structure now doesn’t have the extra ones, but in individual items the extra division still exists and it looks really odd, for example, I can’t get rid of this because I can’t actually see it in admin, if you know what I mean. Does anyone have any idea of what I might have done wrong here, or crucially, how I might fix this?! Thanks in advance!
