RE: [EP-tech] Basic issues

CAUTION: This e-mail originated outside the University of Southampton.

Hi

I found the problem with accessing my site – I use NextDNS and simply needed to add my domain to the Allow list, so it was a simple browser issue at my end.

So, this thread is only remaining to report the dead links that are part of the eprints-tech stuff

Hi

I have installed eprints 3.4 at https://arcomabstracts.com/

In familiarizing myself with the configuration and operation of this, I am stumbling into some pretty basic issues that I cannot solve by myself. The most serious is that Firefox and other security conscious browsers cannot even open the site. I can open it in Chrome, and in Edge, on a desktop PC. I cannot open it in any browser on my Android phone. I cannot find what is causing these security issues. Do you have any suggestion, please?

This might be associated with the web site identity: “This web site does not supply ownership information”

Incidentally, the web addresses around this mailing list are unavailable, such as:

https://mailman.ecs.soton.ac.uk/help/introduction.html

In particular, the list archive for the tech mailing list throws a 404 error - https://www.eprints.org/tech.php/

Currently, I am blocked at every turn!

Best wishes
