Re: [EP-tech] Add dc.subject metadata from uncontrolled keyword

Hi Agung,

Yes you would need to extend the existing DC (Dublin Core) export plugin under your archive.  You cannot add a dc.subject field to the EPrints XML (EP3 XML) as this does not support the dc namespace and uses its own namespace that has a schema (http://ARCHIVE_HOSTNAME/cgi/schema) generated from your EPrints configuration.  If it is the DC (Dublin Core) export you want to add this field to, then below is a reasonable guide on how to extend and existing plugins:

https://wiki.eprints.org/w/Instructions_for_local_plugins

In your case the plugin you will want to extend is EPRINTS_PATH/perl_lib/EPrints/Plugin/Export/DC.pm.

Hi,

I want to make the uncontrolled keyword field in the item details become dc.subject in the eprints metadata. The goal is to make it easier to index keywords. Is this possible? Need help.

Thank you

Agung Prasetyo Wibowo.
