I think your problem is a known issue with 3.4.3.  Please see the following link for an explanation and patch:

Hi,

 

I’m currently commissioning an ePrints server (v3.4.3) and everything is appearing to be going well apart from one weird glitch.  I’m currently trying to implement a multilanguage site but when I have set it up within the languages.pl the link for the new language is shown but when you click on it you get an internal server error.

 

The error logs show the below:

[Thu Jun 16 17:00:01.727566 2022] [:error] [pid 9708] Can't locate object method "scheme" via package "Apache2::RequestRec" at /usr/share/eprints/perl_lib/EPrints/Plugin/Screen/SetLang.pm line 26.\n

 

Line 26 of SetLang.pm is:

if ( $session->{request}->scheme() eq "https" )

 

My technical knowledge of perl is very limited and I’m struggling to find the possible cause of it!  The server is running on Centos7 and installed using the epel-release.

 

Any points as to what might be causing the error would be very much welcome!
