Re: [EP-tech] Missing Perl Library Date::Calc

Hi Ilina Syazwani Musa,

These are additional libraries needed for IRStats2, Geo::IP to work out the country based on the IP address and Date::Calc to process dates, e.g. work out what the date was one month ago, one year ago, etc.  To install these Perl modules use one of the following commands:

yum install perl-Date-Calc perl-Geo-IP

apt install libdate-calc-perl libgeo-ip-perl

Once installed, you reload your webserver (e.g. apachectl graceful) to make sure it has loaded these new Perl modules.  There is a note on the wiki page for IRStats2 [1] that both of these are additional (to EPrints) dependencies but the page could do with a bit of an update, as there is quite a bit of out of date information and there is only instructions on how to install these dependencies on Debian based systems but not RedHat based ones.

Regards

Hi everyone,

I've installed the perl modules, Geo::IP and Date::Calc through cpan. Then, by using Eprints Bazaar, I installed IRStats2 for my eprints-3.4.1. Initially, there is an error saying that "missing Perl library, Date::Calc, Geo::IP."

So I copied the folder Geo and Date from /root/perl5/lib/perl5 into /opt/eprints3/perl_lib, then, I restarted the httpd service. Unfortunately, the Eprints still cannot detect Date::Calc only even though it is in the same folder as Geo.

Any ideas?
Thank you.
