I've put both your and Alan's indices in the video description.  Thanks for producing this.

...the reason for this is that it's the standard way of adding metadata fields to the abstract page.  It didn't work because you can't test virtual fields using is_set().  However, the second half of the video goes on to fix that.

The true reason is that I don't really do much preparation for these videos.  I forgot that adding it to render.pl wouldn't work.  Also, the warning to do with default values (fixed at 33:08) was a completely new discovery for me, and so I had to figure it all out while recording.  If I planned and scripted these videos, they'd be better, but I wouldn't have time to create them!  These are very much best-effort, warts-and-all items, and I hope other members of the community will feel confident enough to start producing their own.

P.S. Illuminating is a perfectly acceptable synonym for enlightening.  You're not wrong when you use it in this context.
