Hi Andrew, It looks like the abstract page is rendering correctly, but the creators view isn't. There appears to be some normalisation happening on your creator names in the view so hopefully you can track down the appropriate section and compel it to use UTF-8 If you look in ~/archives/ARCHIVEID/cfg./cfg.d/views.pl Within the config value $c->{browse_views} = [ There should be a section labelled id => "creators", With a sub-section menus =>[ within which you hopefully have a grouping_function => "SOME FUNCTION NAME", If you can find that grouping function (probably also in cfg.d) it might give you a clue? I know our system handles the extended characters okay, but also that it's been somewhat customised, so I don't know whether your issue is due to any local customisation? Okay, next question from me :) We’ve noticed that accented characters are being handled differently in different parts of the system. Compare the author name on a single EPrint: http://eprints.lincoln.ac.uk/12484/ where the author name is correctly accented, to the output on the author list: http://eprints.lincoln.ac.uk/view/creators/index.M.html where the name is not being translated correctly and the unicode is being output as is. Is this a known issue and, if so, is there a recommended fix?
