[EP-tech] Re: Warning and info messages

I'll take this one (and leave the accented characters to someone else ;o):

You've got two options to edit the phrases - server-side, or browser-side.
==== Server-side ====
There's a lot of phrases in:
~/lib/lang/en/phrases/
but *DON'T* edit them there.

Copy individual phrases to:
~/archives/ARCHIVEID/cfg/lang/en/phrases/local.xml
and change them there.
If that file doesn't exist, you'll have to reload apache for it to find it initially.

==== Browser side ====
The other way of doing this is through the web interface:
Admin -> Config. Tools tab -> Phrase Editor
 - there's a lot - try searching for part of the phrase you want to change - in your case 'checked' might do it.

Both end up writing phrases to ~/archives/ARCHIVEID/cfg/lang/en/phrases/.

Cheers,
John

Subject: [EP-tech] Warning and info messages

Okay, another one! I’m looking to change the text in some of the info messages, particularly “Your item will not appear on the public website until it has been checked by an editor.” - I can’t find these in the phrases of my archive; any thoughts?

Andrew
