No worries.

process_stats --uninstall should remove all the irstats2 tables :)

Then select "edit" and then "save and return" - this should generate a new checksum for you (you don't need to actually edit anything). N.B. I have used this trick to allow me to disable & uninstall stuff but I have not tried it for an upgrade so please let me know if it works for that too.
