I 'd love to try it as well! Could you please upload it to files.eprints.org? Best, G.
Mark, I'd love to have the file you have created and give it a try. It is not easy to create a sitemap with a growing number of articles. Thank you very much. It's not on files.eprints.org but I could share it if you're interested.Cheers Mark Mark Gregson | Application and Development Team Leader Library eServices | Queensland University of Technology Level 2 | I Block | Kelvin Grove Campus | GPO Box 2434 | Brisbane 4001 Phone: +61 7 3138 3782 | Web: http://eprints.qut.edu.au/ ABN: 83 791 724 622 CRICOS No: 00213J -----Original Message-----From: eprints-tech-bounces@ecs.soton.ac.uk [mailto:eprints-tech-bounces@ecs.soton.ac.uk] On Behalf Of Fatih ÖztürkSent: Friday, 30 March 2012 5:18 PM To: eprints-tech@ecs.soton.ac.uk Subject: [EP-tech] Re: sitemap creation Hi Sebastien,I already have the proposed patch applied to our eprints. We are currently using eprints 3.3.8 version. I guess the automatic sitemap generator is not working. We'd like to have an automated sitemap generated as we still import items to the repository and it will continue to grow. Do you know any export plug-in where i can get an export of the site in sitemap format?Regards, Fatih Öztürk IT Center Manager Office Tel: +387-33-944442 http://www.ibu.edu.ba ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sebastien Francois"<sf2@ecs.soton.ac.uk> To: eprints-tech@ecs.soton.ac.uk Sent: Thursday, March 29, 2012 3:04:27 PM Subject: [EP-tech] Re: sitemap creation Hiya,You can try to add your custom sitemap.xml there: /opt/eprints3/archives/<id>/cfg/static/ then run /opt/eprints3/bin/generate_static<id>.If that doesn't work, you may need to apply that patch: http://trac.eprints.org/eprints/changeset/6383Seb. We are very pleased with the functionality we have and working on customizing the interface. I have searched for sitemap on eprints and found that it has automatic sitemap creation. Unfortunately I couldn't find any further documents or emails on how to configure it. My question is on my site There are 741 published items and I cannot see any of them through automatic http://eprints.ibu.edu.ba/sitemap.xml file. Is there some other steps I need to do? Do I need to modify perl_lib/EPrints/Apache/SiteMap.pm file?I really appreciate any help on the issue. Regards,
