Someone correct me if I'm wrong but EPrints doesn't create a sitemap that conforms to the basic protocol that Google etc look for, rather it creates an XML document for the 'XML Schema for the Semantic Crawling Sitemap Extention [sic]'. We've implemented a custom, automatic sitemap conforming to the basic sitemap.org schema that lists all the abstract pages. It's not on files.eprints.org but I could share it if you're interested. We are currently using eprints 3.3.8 version. I guess the automatic sitemap generator is not working. We'd like to have an automated sitemap generated as we still import items to the repository and it will continue to grow. Do you know any export plug-in where i can get an export of the site in sitemap format? If that doesn't work, you may need to apply that patch: http://trac.eprints.org/eprints/changeset/6383 Seb. We are very pleased with the functionality we have and working on customizing the interface. I have searched for sitemap on eprints and found that it has automatic sitemap creation. Unfortunately I couldn't find any further documents or emails on how to configure it. My question is on my site There are 741 published items and I cannot see any of them through automatic http://eprints.ibu.edu.ba/sitemap.xml file. Is there some other steps I need to do? Do I need to modify perl_lib/EPrints/Apache/SiteMap.pm file? I really appreciate any help on the issue.
