Re: [EP-tech] How to regenerate count in tree view?

Hi Izwan,

By default, all browse view pages, menus (e.g. https://ir.uitm.edu.my/view/collection/ and https://ir.uitm.edu.my/view/collection/h=5Fimpak/)  and liings (https://ir.uitm.edu.my/view/collection/h=5Fimpak/2008.html) are regenerated if they are requested more than 24 hours after they were last generated.  However, if you want to regenerate all browse view pages (menus and listings) for a particular browse view (e.g. collection) you need the command:

<EPRINTS_PATH>/bin/generate_views <ARCHIVE_ID> --view collection

Typically, people have a scheduled task (cron job) that runs every night.  Depending on how big your repository archive is / number of browse views, some people get this cron job to update just the menus:

<EPRINTS_PATH>/bin/generate_views <ARCHIVE_ID> --generate menus --quiet

or they regenerate all browse views' menus and listings pages:

<EPRINTS_PATH>/bin/generate_views <ARCHIVE_ID> --quiet

Regards

David Newman

Dear support, how to re-generate or recount the total item in the tree view?
