Hi
I tried several times last week with several DOIs. The DOIs are definitely correct.Have you tried following the DOI in a browser to be sure it is valid? (e.g. https://doi.org./10.<whatever_your_DOI_is> )
e.g. 10.5194/amt-2016-329 10.5194/acp-2016-702 10.1016/j.atmosenv.2016.03.048 I also validated the DOIs with http://doi.org The papers are also not that new (July to Nov 2016) as Jonathan mentioned. Best regards

Thankfully eprints services sorted it so I don't know the details but they did say it was to do with an unexpected result from crossref. This fits with the "unhandled warning" message you have. A route might be to look at what you are getting back and see if there is code in place to handle it. The other thing they said was that they were unable to replicate it and thought it might have been related to the doi being very new in the case we provided. Not sure if any of that helps but maybe it is a clue Cheers Jonathan Digital Library Team University of Nottingham -----Original Message----- From: eprints-tech-bounces@ecs.soton.ac.uk [mailto:eprints-tech-bounces@ecs.soton.ac.uk] On Behalf Of Heiko Schellhorn Sent: 20 February 2017 08:14 To: eprints-tech@ecs.soton.ac.uk Subject: Re: [EP-tech] Import DOI Issue HiThis thread is a bit old: we tried to change the URL to http://doi.crossref.org/openurl but we still get an error message (and not the 301 one): Unhandled exception in Import::DOI: Can't call method "getDocumentElement" on a↲ n undefined value at /opt/eprints/perl_lib/EPrints/Plugin/Import/DOI.pm line 77↲ , <$fh> line 2.
