[EP-tech] Re: Search in subjects and divisions does nothing

Thanks a lot Jiadi, it solved the problem.

I believe Christian, that solves your problem too.

Hi Kostas,

Is your problem related to the missing "q" parameter as reported here?  https://github.com/eprints/eprints/issues/117

This is a issue related to whether xapian is installed (and enabled) on your system or not.

When xapian is enabled, the patch need to be applied for the subject search to work, otherwise, the patch must be REMOVED for the subject search to work.

Regards,
Jiadi

Did anyone else have the same problem with the search in subjects (eprints 3.3.12). Looks like only the subjects file not get indexed (both the ascii and the xml file). I still can't figure out what is going on.

I have the same problem with all my repositories running Eprints 3.3.11 and 3.3.12.

I am trying to deposit new items in Eprints 3.3.12 but seems that searching in the subjects or divisions list shows no results. The main search module works fine in utf-8. I have another repository (version 3.0.5 in Fedora) that works fine.
Any ideas what might be the problem?
The OS is Ubuntu Server 12.04.4 LTS 64bit already updated and the Eprints is 3.3.12 installed via Eprints PPA.
