[EP-tech] Re: how to filter search results on a specific user role?

Hi,

Are you trying to restrict the scope of an editor?

If so, take a look at: ~/archives/ARCHIVEID/cfg/cfg.d/user_review_scope.pl

You can add fields which can then be assigned to an editor to restrict their scope.

If you’re trying to do something different, searching the Bazaar for user_roles might yield some useful links:

https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Abazaar.eprints.org+user_roles

- but most of these are based around additional data objects that are being added, rather than fields of e.g. an eprint.

Cheers,

John

Subject: [EP-tech] how to filter search results on a specific user role?

Hi All,

I’ve been looking around the eprints documentation on how to add filters for a specific user defined role but no success.   Is it possible to create a new user role that can only view specific item types? or specific divisions/departments? Any ideas on how can this be achieved?

Thanks in advanced guys! J
