[EP-tech] Re: Strange search behaviour


No, the index shouldn't need rebuilding on a regular basis.
During certain upgrades it might get rebuilt.

I'd be more concerned as to why the script doesn't get recognised as a perl script.
Is it executable?
Were you running it as the right user?
Was there any non-printing characters at the start of the file?
Is the *very* first line
#!/usr/bin/perl -w
-e.g. no comments before it or anything?

That seems to work - I’ll run that locally to test and see if the index
produces the desired results.

Is this something we should be setting a cron job to run?
