[EP-tech] Re: Plugins 101

If you're logged into the system as a more-powerful-than-a-normal-user user (e.g. editor or admin), you should be able to see the export options by e.g. doing a search 
Admin->Search Items -> ItemID =1 -> Export results as...
These export options are generated on-the-fly.

...BUT...
You probably want to use 'developer mode' instead :o)
~/bin/epadmin set_developer_mode [ARCHIVE_ID] on

This should mean "The config will be reloaded every request and abstract pages will be generated on demand. Turn this off when you finish development".

>From the admin->system tools menu you can force the regenerate views and abstracts the next time they are used, or from the shell  (in /opt/eprints3/bin by default) you can run a generate_abstracts <archive_name> <eprintid> to rebuild a specific item.

Ah, that¹s very interesting - is there a way to force a recache? Bearing in mind that this is on a Virtual Box and not a production environment.
