hello

what is send_alerts exactly doing?

according to http://wiki.eprints.org/w/Alerts: "... when new items are
added which match a search they specified." only NEW items will be sendet.

in the default email phrase it is also written of "Number of new (or
changed) submissions". what is ment with CHANGED?

there will be no alert email send when an eprint is changed in any way.

i guess the phrase is wrong but i would like to get a confirmation of
someone else before i change it.
