[EP-tech] {Disarmed} Menu editing



Hi,
I'm new to sprints and can't figure out how to customize the contents of a menu, namely the login_status pin.
I'd like to remove the "Create Account" and just have login.
I've followed some of this page http://wiki.eprints.org/w/Branding,_the_next_level but I can't get any of it to work, even just the basic separator part (I'm presuming it's an old page, as it mentions turning the menu into an <li> type setup and my repository already has that)
I'm sure I'm just being dense but if someone could point me in the right direction that would be a massive help.
