[EP-tech] Re: pirus plugin

Malcolm,
If you change the target of the PIRUS endpoint from their service URL, to something you  can monitor the logs from (doesn't have to do anything sensible, just something that Apache will write into a log - maybe http://your-repository/isPIRUSdoingAnything ), and then see if you get anything in your local logs (probably error/404 logs), then you'll be able to confirm that the extension if firing as expected.
If you can see some activity from that, I'd check that you have outbound internet access (e.g. does your Bazaar work OK? Did it need any tinkering to get it working? - I'm thinking http_proxy type stuff).

Yes I have, and they say they are not getting anything from our service.
I just wondered if there was some way I could test the plugin was working properly.

PIRUS doesn't show anything in EPrints - it's entirely behind the
scenes. What were you expecting/are you seeing an error?

In order to see your data you need to talk to the IRUS guys.
