Hi Tim, I am looking at what is on the disk. In EPrints 3.3.11, on my localhost, it shows me a filename with nothing behind it, and I can't seem to find the file on the disk either for that eprint. On EPrints 3.3.10 it works for demoprints.eprints.org and for our own installation of eprints at repository.wit.ie When I downgraded my local (same PC) installation of EPrints to 3.3.10 (by apt-get remove) and installing the package for the slightly older version, it worked a bit better, the file did appear on the disk this time, but the contents were @dandelion2.JPG, which is the filename, not the data. I cannot understand why this should work on demoprints and my live repo. but not on my local machine. All three instances are running 3.3.10. Perhaps it's the way I installed on my local machine. Thanks, David. ________________________________________ From: eprints-tech-bounces@ecs.soton.ac.uk [eprints-tech-bounces@ecs.soton.ac.uk] on behalf of Tim Brody [tdb2@ecs.soton.ac.uk] Sent: 05 March 2013 12:31 To: eprints-tech@ecs.soton.ac.uk Subject: [EP-tech] Re: Adding files to an eprint using cURL Hi, On the 3.3 branch on github I can POST a file and get it back. With curl though, it doesn't follow the re-direct to the file location which is secured. i.e. how are you checking whether the document is empty? By requesting it with Curl or looking what's on disk? /Tim.
