[EP-tech] Browse views - sub pages with one item

Hi,
I'm trying to work out the best way to make browse menus with only one item go straight to the item, rather than a page with one item, that then links to the item.
E.g. from http://demoprints.eprints.org/view/year/, the '2011' link only has one item.
I'd like the link '2011' text to link directly to http://demoprints.eprints.org/201/, rather than http://demoprints.eprints.org/view/year/2011.html - which then links to http://demoprints.eprints.org/201/.

Has anyone looked at doing this?
