[EP-tech] IRStats and divisions hierarchy?

Our repository staff have been trying to generate statistics for our faculties and schools using IRStats. They’ve hit a problem in that IRStats ignores the hierarchy specified in the subjects files.

An example of the problem is that these

http://eprints.uwe.ac.uk/cgi/irstats.cgi?page=get_view2&IRS_epchoice=divisions&divisionss=divisions_fac_hls_2010&subjectss=dummy&creators_names=dummy&eprint=&IRS_datechoice=period&period=-3m&start_day=1&start_month=1&start_year=2005&end_day=31&end_month=1&end_year=2005&view=TopTenTable

are stats for the Faculty for Health and Life Sciences, and these

http://eprints.uwe.ac.uk/cgi/irstats.cgi?page=get_view2&IRS_epchoice=divisions&divisionss=divisions_dep_dpsy&subjectss=dummy&creators_names=dummy&eprint=&IRS_datechoice=period&period=-3m&start_day=1&start_month=1&start_year=2005&end_day=31&end_month=1&end_year=2005&view=TopTenTable

are stats for Psychology which is part of the Faculty. So the faculty stats don’t include stuff from their member schools.

I can see why EPrints does this – it is doing a simple search by division identifier – but is there any chance IRStats could be updated to do stats for the hierarchy?

Thanks,
