OK great! For Apache, try: bin/generate_apacheconf --replace If this command above doesn't pick up your URL, you can also try to: rm cfg/apache/* rm cfg/apache_ssl/* rm cfg/apache.conf rm cfg/apache_ssl.conf And re-run the command. Remember to restart Apache afterward.Last but not least, since it seems like you have several repositories running the same instance of Apache, check that you have the following line in your Apache conf (before Include'ing EPrints' conf):
NameVirtualHost *:80 Seb. On 20/03/12 12:09, smal@ccmb.res.in wrote:
Hi Tim and Seb Thanks a lot for your tips& guidelines as I could run these commands successfully but except the "apacheconf" which alone is left out now to be executed. I am pasting the error output here... bash-4.1$ bash-4.1$ bin/generate_apacheconf No files were changed. For more information do ./generate_apacheconf --man bash-4.1$ bash-4.1$ Regards s.mahalingam ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sebastien Francois"<sf2@ecs.soton.ac.uk> To: eprints-tech@ecs.soton.ac.uk Sent: Tuesday, March 20, 2012 5:23:01 PM Subject: [EP-tech] Re: post installation issue Do you see "generate_views" as an option of the "epadmin" script? :D The commands are either: bin/generate_views publications_new (that one generate the views files straight away) -OR- bin/epadmin refresh_views publications_new (that one generates the files on-the-fly, when they are next requested by Apache). I may have to erase the existing reprints package and only to reload the new package. Is it wise enough to do? kindly tender your advise. It means that the link is active for the files located in the base directory in which the index page exists. Whereas, the pages located other than the base directory are not active.(e.g.) cigi, views etc. Is there any way to resolve this issue?
