There are a number of ways to start using EPrints.
EPrints is open source, meaning the software needed is freely available.
If you are looking to install your own EPrints installation, you will need a suitable Linux based server on which to install EPrints and a number of prerequisites packages to help get you started.
If you are looking for commercial support in either installing an EPrints repository or outsourcing its entire hosting, then please get in touch.
Before any of this, there are demonstration services available so you can Try EPrints for yourself.
Most EPrints users are looking for an Open Access Publications based repository, this is what EPrints is best known for and all the configuration you need for this comes with the normal EPrints distributions and downloads.
If you are looking to develop your own bespoke EPrints installation, then you can use the core EPrints software and build up from there. Or if you are looking for a Research Data, Impact Data or Open Educational repository there are pre-built options for all of these.
